Elisha Farley, LCSW- Founder
I graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2000 with a BS. I majored in Human Development and Family Studies with a focus on children, youth, and families. After working for a couple of years in wraparound servicers I felt that pursuing a career as a Social Worker was the best fit for me. I attended University of Maryland School of Social Work and graduated with my MSW in 2005. I later earned my LCSW.
I spent many years working in a variety of social service settings. I have experience working in the community setting with families and children, in patient with adolescents and adults, and in the hospital setting with addictions and mental health. In addition to this I worked as a supervisor in a couple of outpatient settings; methadone and community mental health. All of this experience has given me experience with people of all ages, all walks of life, and across the LGBTQI+ community. I consider myself a generalist practitioner, but I am trauma informed and recovery focused.
It was in my last community mental health setting that I met Alanna and we both realized that we had a similar view on mental health and providing quality services.
I feel I am fortunate in that I love going to work every day. I truly enjoy being able to run a private practice and provide therapy on a day to day basis. I believe in the therapeutic process and the power of a therapeutic relationship.
Outside of being an LCSW, I love being a mom and spending time with my son and husband. I enjoy hiking, cooking, baking, crochet, and have recently taken up gardening.
